Iraqi Security Forces Not Making Progress?

At least Michael Stickings over at The Moderate Voice doesn't think so and he bases it on this interview in the AP with Iraqi Vice President Ghazi al-Yawer.

The training of Iraqi security forces has suffered a big "setback" in the last six months, with the army and other forces being increasingly used to settle scores and make other political gains, Iraqi Vice President Ghazi al-Yawer said Monday.

Michael later asks the question "But shouldn't his claim be taken seriously?"

In a word Michael......... NO.

I have a question of my own. Do you ever read any of the American Milbloggers on the ground in Iraq?

I do, and I take their word over the honorable VP.
