More reasons to reform or leave the UN / Open Trackbacks

Thanks to Betsy's Page for a link to this article in the Left Angeles Times. Ron Silver (he’s a Democrat) has a new documentary out titled Broken Promises, The United Nations at 60. This movie illustrates what people who pay attention already know. The UN is broken, Corrupt, anti-Semitic, and gives credibility to Despots who deserve none. As Betsy's says "to those who buy the fairy tale of the UN coming together to fight corruption and evil around the globe; it should be an eye opener"

Unfortunately I am not optimistic. UN Supporters either don't care or have some sort of mental block that makes it impossible for them to see the terrible things this organization currently stands for.

There is also a new book out by Pedro Sanjun who formerly held a high ranking post at the UN which doesn't have anything good to say about the UN either:

The UN Gang: A Memoir of Incompetence, Corruption, Espionage, Anti-Semitism, and Islamic Extremism at the UN

The title kinda says it all and this guy should know. He served in the UN halls for several years. His first hand accounts of goings on at the UN are will be truly shocking even to those of you who hold the UN in such low regard as I do.

Betsy also has a link to Stephen F. Hayes article in the Weekly Standard that shows which party is really playing politics with the Intelligence on Iraq and the war.

Decision08 has some interesting analysis on this.

If you haven't read Stephen's book The Connection then withhold any further comment on the Iraq Al Qaeda Connection until you do, because you prolly don't know what you are talking about. After reading this book you should have no doubt about the connection between Sadaam and Al Qaeda. Or you could try to suggest that an Abu Sayyaf Terrorist called an Iraq Intelligence hours after detonating a bomb that killed Special Forces Sergeant first class Mark Wayne Jackson just to ask him to go bowling or something. (Yes someone actually said that to me with a straight face).

The Following sites have open trackbacks today. The Political Teen, Stop The ACLU,TMH's Bacon Bits, The Uncooperative Blogger, My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, Don Surber, Joe's Cafe,

Wow A big Thank you to Greyhawk at The Mudville Gazette for a link to my post on The Colton Camaro Project. There are so many people who do things like this every day that go unoticed. It is good to see some of them get the recognition they deserve. Stories like this set an example for the all of us to do what we can when we can. Maybe you don't have the resoures to build a custom 1968 Camaro, but you can say thank you, buy a Soldier, Marine, Airman, or Sailor a lunch, a beer, Donate to the Soldiers Angels Valour-IT project (go Air Force Team!), or offer any help you can for those that are sacrificing so much for all of our freedom.
